Job Description

Business Development manager - LED division

Our client sells LED lighting solutions into the signage, point of sale, shop fitting, commercial and architectural markets.

The ideal candidate is dynamic, highly successful with notable experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the C-Suite. Ideally, they should also possess 10 years demonstrated network, technical knowledge and experience in the lighting industry.

This role is a senior Management role, it will also require some branch management, if you do not have any experience in lighting, reading technical drawings, and have not run a branch or had any experience in branch management DO NOT APPLY!

Position are available in the following locations:

  • KZN - LED Business development manager - LED division

The successful candidates should possess technical knowledge of LED lighting solutions via suitable qualification or industry experience. Please provide proof of this on your application, if no proof is provided your application will be unsuccessful and will not be considered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Achieving Budgeted numbers by product group.
  • Organizing sales visits
  • Building, maintaining and delivering on Sales Pipelines (projects)
  • Interaction with Sales force (building, developing and training)
  • Key account for new business development as well as servicing of existing customers.
  • Regularly reviewing market trends and surveys, assessing market needs in terms of new products and aligning key account strategies accordingly.
  • Developing and implementing sustainable customer relationship strategies to enable sales growth.
  • Managing and delivering on technical queries and solutions with regards to specialized existing and new products.
  • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
  • Responsible for representing the product to customers in meetings and at field events such as conferences, trade shows and seminars
  • Able to respond to functional and technical requirements in RFPs
  • Monthly sales reports for EXCO
  • Research into complementary technology applicable to what we do
  • Research into competitor technology & solutions
  • Providing product education and advice

Salary:

50 to 70k per annum - negotiable
