Job Description

A national FMCG distributor of dry and perishable goods is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to oversee and manage their transport/fleet.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Valid Drivers Licence with own transport
• Relevant qualification in Logistics/Transport management would be advantageous
• Min 3yrs experience in Logistics/Transport management in a similar industry is required
• MS Office literate

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a team of Drivers and Van Assistants (30 staff)
• Enforce safety and housekeeping
• Manage damage and theft
• Manage expenses and budgets
• Oversee and administer fines on all the fleet
• Manage, plan and do sequencing of routes
• Manage and oversee the facilities (warehouse, wash bay's etc.)
• Operate and manage the trackmatic system
• Complete all documentation for fleet control
