Our client, a large, well established, national manufacturer is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join their finance team!

Requirements:

• Matric
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement is essential
• Min 3yrs consumables procurement/buying experience in a similar industry is required
• MS Office Literate

Responsibilities:

• Your role will focus on supplier relationship management and ensuring an optimal balance between cost, quality, and efficiency in the consumable procurement process
• Implement and optimize procurement budgets, ensuring cost effectiveness
• Implement cost-saving initiatives
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand end-user requirements and preferences
• Implement procurement strategies that align with overall business objectives
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics and advancements and price changes in consumable procurement
• Monitor and enhance supplier relationships to ensure timely deliveries and high-quality products
• Generate reports for management on stock levels, purchasing activities and cost analysis
• Follow up on quotes, back orders, pricing requests daily
• Raising purchase requisitions
• Consumable procurement for all 4 offices nationally
• Estimate and establish budgets for purchases
• Negotiate pricing and supply contracts
• Complete all supplier credit application forms and obtain all supporting documentation
• Processing of staff expense claims
• General ledger reconciliations
• Raise accruals at month end for expenses
