Job Description

Our client, a multinational manufacturer of steam products and systems is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join their team and be responsible for the surveying and inspections of maintenance/installations etc. on various client's sites within a factory/manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Trade Tested qualification/Artisan i.e. Millwright is required
• 3-5yrs mechanical maintenance experience in a factory/manufacturing environment is essential
• Surveying experience would be advantageous
• Valid Drivers License with own transport
• MS Office Literate

Extensive travelling is required (entire KZN region)

Responsibilities:

• Full surveying process on various client sites on behalf of the company
• Ensure that all surveying tasks are completed within set timescales to comply with the company's policies and procedures
• To undertake all surveying functions around repairs, voids, planned and cyclical works, ensuring the highest standard of technical advice and service delivery is provided
• To deal with technical/maintenance surveying complaints and get them resolved
• To decide on the best technical solution for the various clients
• Take responsibility for obtaining any specialist reports, arranging testing etc.
• Weekly and monthly reporting of findings and present to Management
• Carry out pre and post inspections and specify, authorise and manage work to completion
• Assist with any technical/mechanical/maintenance repairs if required
• To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of legislation, regulations and best practise
