Key tasks

  • Plan, execute and control project tasks allocated to various disciplines to ensure delivery within the allocated timeline and processes to ensure quality and cost effectiveness
  • Develop the overall budget including staffing requirements
  • ensure that each programme meets the stated objectives
  • Agree priorities with Department Manager and Engineering Director
  • Monitor, control and manage tasks to ensure adherence to the LCM process Life cycle management process.
  • Identify and communicate project critical paths and major risks
  • address project challenges and resolve project conflicts
  • Gather and analyse information to identify opportunities for improvements
  • manage communication channels
  • Reports the progress of the projects as required
  • Cooperate and reach consensus with project teams across sites within AEC
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors if and when required during development
  • Work with customers and/or support program management to ensure agreed deliverables and milestones are met

Mandatory requirements

  • Minimum 3.5 years Project Management experience
  • Experience owning program strategy with end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior management.
  • Minimum relevant engineering qualification with a project management diploma or equivalent
  • Strong experience in analytical, strategic and planning functions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Extraordinary organization skills, attention to detail and excellent follow through Financial, contractual, commercial skills, negotiating ability

Advantageous requirements

  • BScEng or project management certification or training
  • Experience in an electronic/high-tech environment is highly desirable
  • Experience in an aerospace environment and knowledge of SW and HW development processes such as DO-178 and DO-252
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
