Our national client, a leading manufacturer is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join their finance team and oversee payroll.

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Payroll diploma would be advantageous
  • 5yrs payroll experience within the manufacturing industry is required
  • VIP Payroll
  • Advanced Excel & Clocking system experience
  • Working knowledge of MEIBC is needed

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and run full payroll function within the Gqeberha branch
  • Monthly headcount of + 100 staff
  • Oversee entire clocking system functionality i.e. approval of overtime and shift changes, ensuring the biometric unit is always connected, ensure employee master data is correct
  • Super User on VIP Payroll
  • Creating of new employees, processing leave, processing payroll values and capturing of values
  • Month end reporting on VIP
  • EE and SDL capturing
  • Manually send out pay slips
  • Medical Aid & GAP cover submissions only MEIBC staff
  • Provident Fund recon's and statement for MEIBC staff
  • Nomination and beneficiary forms for risk benefits
  • EMP201 Submissions and queries
  • EMP501 Submissions
  • COIDA IOD Submissions
  • COIDA ROE Submissions
  • UIF Applications and submissions
  • HR inductions - new employees from a payroll point of view
  • New employee contracts and other contracts
  • New contracts update with existing employees
  • Ensure the HR Policies and procedures are adhered to
  • IR - Industrial Relations - Disciplinary Hearings, Warnings, Performance management (outsourced to 3rd party)
  • Union and MEIBC meetings
