A multinational manufacturer is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, assertive qualified and experienced individual to oversee the purchasing processes for the company

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification - National Diploma or B.Tech Degree in Purchasing/Logistics is required
• Com Supply Chain Management would be advantageous
• 5yrs experience as a Purchasing Manager in a manufacturing environment is essential
• 3-5yrs experience understanding purchasing/logistics/ and overall supply chain management experience
• Exposure to OHS Act and Risk Assessments
• Knowledgeable of material control controls, buying, factory processes and procedures

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the purchasing of all raw materials to support the factory
• Negotiating with suppliers regarding contracts and pricing
• Responsible for purchasing and control of all consumables
• Assist with value analysis of specified products
• Evaluate price variations and modify accordingly
• Liaison with the Department of Customs and Excise
