Our client, a well-established FMCG Distributor is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join their team.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Finance, Accounting or Bookkeeping is required
  • 3-5yrs relevant experience within the FMCG industry is essential
  • Good understanding of cashbook, creditors, debtors and inventory
  • Experience in processing journals and accounting processes
  • MS Office and Pastel literate
  • Valid Driver's License with own transport

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinating the day to day financial processes of the company's 4 branches
  • Following up on payment received/outstanding (age analysis)
  • Processing of cash book
  • Creditors Invoice processing
  • Weekly and Monthly Supplier payments
  • Commissions invoicing
  • Stock journals
  • Petty Cash
  • Rebates
  • Bank account interests
  • Journals - all inter company, salary and provisions
  • Financials - balance sheet, profit and loss reports
  • Recons - balance to statement
  • Configuration of sales figures into Pastel
  • Monthly salaries (2 branches)
  • Calculation and payment of PAYE, Skills, UIF, quarterly submission of EMP 501to SARS
  • VAT submission
